As Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Felix travels a beeline for Belize one has to ask how fierce this killer cat will get. As a Tropical Pre-Hurricane Storm Felix already killed 3 people and many rodents crossing Caribbean Islands and the Grand Caymans. Next, Felix the cat, the not so wonderful cat, is going to put the Nicaragua and Honduras border region in a fix, as he reaches into his bag of tricks. Felix the Cat will not soon be forgot.
Indeed, Hurricanes are typically in peak season in the Caribbean during August and September and this year is no exception. The season started out slow, but seems to be in full bloom as Felix threatens to take the Yucatan by storm. Belize, has been the target of many a large Cat Hurricane. It seems it is always in harms way. Sometimes it gets lucky, but it is never out of danger.
The NOAA satellite photos show that Felix is not a small size storm, but rather a fierce predator, accelerating to speed to take down its next prey. And speaking of praying, that is about all the folks in her path have time to do as they evacuate, planning for the worst and hoping for the best. Mother Nature is testing humankind's commitment to living in the region and so far they have weathered the test, but one has to ask; how much more of this can they take?
The super storm Saffir-Simpson winds wage war on the coastline and every one wonders where it will strike. Felix is a storm that means serious business and no one is taking it for granted.
